Revolving Epiphany

Shadows make their way

To unmarked graves

When the sun becomes tired

Of being the only light.

If you listen closely

You can hear the trees sigh

In response to the winds

Coming out of hiding.

Clouds make a blanket

That keeps nothing warm

But gives the moon the choice

To be or not to be.

It is times like these

When the world will find

That the darkness and cold

Is just that and nothing more.

Stunning! This might be the most powerful piece I've ever read of yours so far. There's so much here that can relate to current tragedies, but also just life observations in general. I love the way you've personified the heavenly bodies in such a way that we can feel them watching over us, trying to find some way to respond to what's going on down here!
