De Vine The Odds

De Vine The Odds

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Walls get built around our lives.

Made from emotional bricks,

Some physical and others mental.

They get put in place by mortar

Made from a mix of doubts,

Fears and other people’s negativity.

Some walls are short enough

To be hurdled,

But when they get so high

You can’t see the sunrise

Just remember that vines climb walls.

So let the odds you face

Be the seeds that sprout the vines

That grows within your heart and mind.

Excellent extended metaphor to tell an important life lesson as you often do. Many people wall themselves off these days & it just makes our divisions worse. We have to be brave & face what's on the other side of our personal walls! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Well said Margie... thank you for your wisdom.
Well said. And those vines can be climbed to find our way out from behind those walls.
