Spiritual Bleeding

Spiritual Bleeding

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

You may look upon me with petrified eyes

Thinking you’ll harden the scars

Instead you anchor the burdens

Till they sink into my undefined darkness.

So masquerade beneath a dragon’s mask

But the fire you breathe will become

Your own personal hell

For I have already made footprints

In my ashes.

Now my soiled feet

Hide the knowledge of the Phoenix

While your hands bleed

From the shards of broken dreams

You tried to steal from humanity.

To lay the sword down now

Is a half-hearted escapade

And a deliberate macabre dance

On the souls of the unborn.

For now I will stand accused

To keep the bloodline pure enough

For reincarnation,

You can maintain your innocence

In hopes of salvation.

Heavy duty message here! Makes me think of "what goes around comes around". We may think we are not causing havoc with our actions, but every action has a reaction. We can never completely hide from our misdeeds as they all have an outward effect on others, on mankind!
And you take a stand against such inhumane, and deplorable actions so that purity may prevail!
Good write Dale...very good write!

"But the fire you breathe will become
Your own personal hell"

~ i love this post... especially the lines i quoted... this is possibly one of the most precious lessons that can ever be learnt by anyone...

~ people who linger in moments of rage... allow rage to become more than a momentary experience... and it ultimately destroys their peace of mind...

This reminds me of dancing with the devil. And of someone rising from
their own personal hell. It can be read both ways, which is really a sign
of good poetry, and this is excellent.

Thank you very much.
This reminds me of Magdalene when she was condemned. Some people just thought they were better than anyone else. We're all spiritually ill. Some have found the cure, others have long been looking, I guess.

And I am glad you shared it... I love seeing what people take from my work.
Sometimes we get so empowered by - hate! Then it's an open war and there's no stepping back. Because it's a war of their own making!

This write is full of a righteous anger brought on by the defeating acts of those we love. I am amazed at the strenght of your ire! 100/100

I like the feel of this poem. Forgiveness isn't so easy sometime. So many statements in this poem I likes. Salvation for some won't come easy. A outstanding poem.

Your phrasing is superb here Dale as is your message of hope and salvation. This is a very intelligent piece that would have required deep thinking and research on your part.
It also shows humility in that you have walked the walk and born the scars that will/may befall others.
Nice one :)
