A Poem by ellemorell

A chameleon changing her skin

I am content and you are not here

What does that mean?

There is a shadow

I want to tell her my secrets all

I am strong

But brave enough to weather the storm?

The fallout from your life of wounds

Has battered me and left me bruised

But somehow I feel whole again

Amidst the uncertainty and pain

So I sit and comprehend my space

Just a grain of sand, washed up in the right place

At the crest of the wave today

But on the wheel of fortune the game of life is played
