Reverie

Reverie

A Poem by Barbara Walker

Reverie brings thoughts,

tenderly to mind;

past joy, a phrase spoken,

your laughter and your loving soul,

the pure joy I felt in us,

cherished memories,

grasped tightly within.

Nice poem. Short, simple, and just grasping the concept that it be a person, place or thing that holds the most memories of the people we loved or just still do. And it's not something that can easily be let go of.

Thank you very much!
I love that you used Reverie instead of daydream, it adds to the charm you created in this poem. Cherished people are such a treasure, and you make our memories with them seem like buried gold :)

Simple joys expressed so well. You have a wonderful talent for saying so much so simply.

Thank you so much!
Awwwwwwah, this was sweet. It is exactly how we feel when we think about people who are special to us, the emotions.

"the pure joy I felt in us,
cherished memories,"

We remember everything, the memories like you've said. It was divine. You captured everything beautifully.

Anytime!
A wonderful way to express the emotions we feel when we think about someone special!
It flowed well, and captured so much of who we are inside, when it comes to friends!
Great Write! :)
