the dead in me

a ghostly Louisiana tale

the western sky never looked so black

southern skies but a long lost dream

she was the wind i rode into hell

flying hard on gossamer wings

sorrow never suffered such a lashing

cat' o nine tails raining down on me

swamp gas lit a descending passage 

beckoned by my cajun queen

her pa was waiting deep in them black gums

i never saw him step out from them trees

before i knew it the ride was over

cause her daddy's gun put the dead in me

now i ride in total blackness

forever searching in the cool night breeze

two wheels ride this road forever

seeking passage to my cajun queen

The story of a bike rider who is dead
by her Pappy`s gun.
You just fall out of one character and
fall into another. It is hard to keep up
with such a versatile writer.
