White Rose Petal

This is a poem I wrote about my fisrt ex, Josh. This has deep meaning to me. First break up was hard but the hatred had not come yet.

Just a single rose petal,

White as snow.

When ever I see it,

My tears begin to flow.

 

Just a single rose petal you gave me.

From that moment on I loved you, couldn't you see?

You gave me just a single rose petal,

And that was a start.

But then you gave me so much more,

You gave me your heart.

 

Just a single rose petal,

I look and see your face.

So beautiful and perfect,

So full of grace.

 

Your kiss is like a kiss from a rose on a grave.

When ever I look at this single rose petal, your lips I crave.

 

It feels like heaven's so far away.

The world is so cold now that you've gone away.

 

Just a single white rose petal,

White as a dove.

All I ever wanted to give you was my love.

that is just wondrously lovely. i loved the repetition you used with the single white rose petal... and i loved the gentle rhyme scheme - especially how you switched it up in the middle there.

and the last lines really pack a punch - but are so gracefully rhymed... wonderful

Very beautiful poem, it's so lovely... the flow and rhythm are very good, I felt lost in an abyss of beauty, lost in array of white roses, wonderful job.
