It Won't HappenA Poem by Kenneth The PoetNo, I don't think it will.
Will it…
Will it ever… Will it ever happen… Will it ever happen to me? Many men in my age group Are in the cigar-smoking loop Puffing rings of adulation Leaving me with frustration Will it… Will it ever… Will it ever happen… Will it ever happen to me? Shoes between sizes zero and one Pushing the stroller and having fun Changing out s**t from plastic casing These are events I should be facing Will it… Will it ever… Will it ever happen… Will it ever happen to me? Throwing the spit into cotton Selfish motives are so rotten Maybe God above is really saying Full maturity you are delaying Will it… Will it ever… Will it ever happen… Will it ever happen to me? His spouse cries out in pain His soul has just seen the drain There is no remorse in his heart His dreams have been torn apart Will it… Will it ever… Will it ever happen… Will it ever happen to me? Sitting here awaiting the day His sentence is no longer stayed The sickle slams into his neck His body wrote the final check No… No it won’t… No it won’t happen… No it won’t happen to me. Progress stunted by a callous God Even if his thoughts are fully flawed His soul descends into the waiting pit He will surely see some serious s**t No… No it won’t… No it won’t happen… No it won’t happen to me. The wife is bereaved for a spell The death was just a minor hell She soon conceives not long after Since she obeyed her godly master No… No it won’t… No it won’t happen… No it won’t happen to me. She grew up under anothers care Her real father, to be found nowhere Boiling in brimstone, his own decision He chose not to make the final revision No… No it won’t… No it won’t happen… No it won’t happen to me. No… No it won’t… No it won’t happen… No it won’t happen to me. © 2011 Kenneth The PoetReviews
