Demolishing My Dreams

Demolishing My Dreams

A Poem by Damon Favreau

True happyness is just a myth, teasing my soul.

Love enters my life, then stabs my back with vicious hate.

I feel the knife penatrate my skin with mercilous pain.

The darkness surounds my thoughts, bleeding uncontrolably, like the black death to It's unaware victims.

Throbbing noise of souless feel, peel from my brain and shatter glass.

Totuttaa vereen ja liha luhistuminen jotta ajaa karille.

I watch as my life falls to its knees.

I am tourtured by thoughts of blood splattering against the walls.

This uncontrolable demon eats at my flesh.

Slash my heart in two and stomp on it.

My life may cease to exist forever, never having a true life.

I must use these hands to only destroy, yet they bleed tears and try to build.

Failure.

These hands were never meant to have love.

this is a powerful poem. feeling alone, worthless, betrayed by life, feeling we will never meant to be loved. these are emotions i can relate. "I watch as my life falls to its knees." for some reason this is my favorite line. in that sentence alone, a lot is spoken. but this is a very dark & powerful write, well done.

Wow! this a powerful poem! all the emotions that you convey, I feel! I particularly liked the finnish line, its very acute and sharp line that reinforces the poem! The violence helps bring out the ideas and the imagery. the two last lines are quite effective! Short and stout with meaning and feeling! Well written!
