Shine On; Tribute to those gone...

Shine On; Tribute to those gone...

A Poem by Ironbutt
"

Farwell, sacrifice, friendship....it comes...

"
Got a cold jar of 'sit right down' shine..
a few of my friends..good time..
some chairs are empty from the last go around...
enjoying the bond with those above ground...
shine on...
few of the boys still got boots on the ground...
we salute them with a toast as the jar goes around...
shine on....
fresh ink on shoulder that bares the names...
knowing they would do the same...
shine on.....
Sun set slowly over the gather place...
sit on the tailgate and stare into space...
sip a little shine and reflect....
those who went......those who didnt come back...
shine on.....Brothers for ever.

A silent salute offers peace to those who say, there for the grace of God, I might have been. And yet we die more than a litter inside searching for a reason, why anyone had to walk this path. Thanks for your tribute.
