The Shadow and The Ghost

The Shadow and The Ghost

A Poem by Saudalihe Gypsy Baker

Your shadow, it's here
It follows, always near
As you said it would, thought it should
And a ghost of me
Lingers where you can see
In the back of your mind, easy to find
You probably try to make it go
To not let it show
That someone's on your mind
Someone you consider kind
And I probably left more
Than just the ghost on shore
I hope i didn't wreck the floor
And break down the door
I hope you won't speak true
If you say i love you
I might turn and run, and then we will be done
But I hope that I would stay
And I hope that I could say
And speak honest and true, when I say I Love You

THis is a really good poem. it has great rhythm and word choice that help it flow quite nicely. Good job!
