A Poem by Tony Hwilka
"

Watching your life, your memories go up in smoke

"

Helplessness engulfs my being

       as memories feed fire

Waves of flame so hot

they burn the feet of angels

I hear screams of yesterday

       crash under the devil's might

Retreat within myself

       to hide the tears

Nothingness blackens the dawn

       from broken glass

I look to see

if I am -- still me

Sounds like a reflection of all past misdeeds and fear of the final price for such actions. Nice flow and vivid images. Easy read not all bogged down with endless chatter that just restates what you have already wonderfully made clear.
