The lost ballroom

idk.....was bored and came up with a poem

As the leafs fall from the trees

and the wind turns into a soft breeze

like dancers the leafs float around

so fluintly moving to the sounds

 

Back and forth ,they sway

on the lovely warm spring day

ballroom dancing to mothernatures song

as if they were taught to dance along

 

They turn here and flip there

seeing anything move like this is so rare

never did I imagine that this one scene could be so amazing

yet here I am,at the leafs gazing

 

But as the leafs get lower

and the wind moves slower

the ballroom is lost in the spring air

and the world keeps turning, not giving a care

Absolutely beautiful and yes, a soothing write. I liked the imagery that you have used! :)

But... the whole poem rhymes except in the first 2 lines of 2nd stanza. I think these lines would do -

"Back and forth, they sway
Through clouds, as sunlight makes its way"

Just a humble opinion. Need not match the elegance that your poem beholds. :)

I love the calming calming feel I get from this. I also love your descriptions in this piece. The way you relate the changing of the seasons to a ballroom...very clever. Great poem! :)
