No Magic Word

No Magic Word

A Poem by Anita B Jacques
"

No magic word nor easy way out

"

Drowning in a sea of words.
The mind could not stop searching.
For magic words or perfect phrases.
Untangle prose and verses.
For self satisfaction.
Sorting out words with expectation.

The love to write takes over.
There is no magic word,
nor easy way out.
Heart, Mind, Soul and Emotions.
All four together, may
create the magic.

One word at the time
Sorting out lines,
phrases, prose and verses.
A final word.
Mind and heart are composed.

Wow...you said it Annie...once the writing bug hits us...we are consumed by the words that dance in our heads., and nothing short of death or starvation will keep us from our destiny...which is to keep writing till we get it right! (And once that happens...we are consumed with MORE words to keep on doing it right!!!!_

There is no escape...we are doomed!!!!

By the way...congratulations on winning a contest badge...but I couldn't find out which contest it was for, or what the poem was. I'm still trying to navigate myself around the site.

Good work friend!

What a wonderful expression of a poem about poetry. I think you hit the nail right on the head and drove home your point. Fantasic. I concur with the same feelings that I believe is a poem.

Too true. Words flow from every emotion, experience, and heart felt moment that makes us who we are. To write is to tear out a piece of yourself and place it on paper. And yet we can't stop writing anymore than we can stop breathing. Well written.

Well said... the magic is not in the words but in the creator and what they do with the words... beautifully penned.
