There are no winter days

There are no winter days

A Poem by Jack...
"

Feel the warmth...it waits inside of you

"

There are no winter days

by jack

Cana Lillie blooms out along the wooden fence

Morning glories sing as the springtime does commence

Nests within the trees as they tend their very young

Bluer skies ahead as the season has begun

Dragonflies in flight as they hover o’er the ground

Quiet is the peace as the morning lends it sound

Fragrance fills the air with a sweet and wondrous scent

As we soon forget chilly winter times we spent

The air is ever clean and so fresh upon our face

Grass is turning green as the warmer days embrace

Blossoms in the field as their fruit the orchards bear

Colors do arrive and are present everywhere

Though I don’t understand why it is a wondrous thing

For here inside my heart every day it feels like spring

I open up my eyes and the sun shines up above

There are no winter days for my springtime is your love

Such beautiful and fresh imagery in this one. Often times you read poetry that is just dripping with double entendra or metaphorical abyss (usually my stuff...lol), but something like this is just a breath of fresh, spring air. This reminds me of some of Dickinson's more "nature" inspired writing...beautiuflly done!

Thank you so very much for visiting and reading my poem. I appreciate your kind words.
I opened up my eyes and you're a blond girl, how am I supposed to comment, when I can't stop laughing my arse off?! You're a nut, but your poetry blooms like wildflowers...!

Thanks Frieda, I guess my feminine side snuck out.
For some there is no winder but always days of spring...nice idea.
Third line of the first stanz should read "their" very young, not "they're" very young.
