I feel the ocean breathing

I feel the ocean breathing

A Poem by Jack...
"

Once more to the beach

"

I feel the ocean breathing

As I breathe, I feel the ocean breathing

Here I stand…a moonbeam in my heart

Take my hand, and know this endless feeling

Like the tide, our journey now to start

Horizons call, a beacon in the distance

Silhouettes, now dance upon its line

Take a chance and reach for what you’re dreaming

As these sands now wash away the time

I have come, of sailing vessels calling

As the edgeless foam it meets the sea

Waves of change, will not dispose emotions

Drifting soft as you lay here with me

Melodies, are found of waves now stirring

Glistening, this twilight canopy

Heaven’s song, now whispers quiet motions

As the stars extend your light me

And I smile, for here we find the rainbow

Rains may fall from clouds upon the sky

Still the sun, now sends its dancing shadows

In your arms, my love stays warm and dry

Blue chiffon, now draped of wind a’ flutter

Golden tan, your skin upon my own

Miles long, this beach does wait our footprints

Now our love does come to take us home

Always adore any allusion to the ocean, especially with imagery as "sands now wash away the time." Melodies in the waves, I nod. The ocean does have her own song, calling all the Ocean Souls home. "I feel the ocean breathing" is a poem well done.

Thank you so very much
Love that one Jack. Great imagery, some mystery there as in parts I'm not sure if you are talking about the ocean or yourself, each read I take it a different way. One of my favourites from you.

Thanks so very much Keith for your kind words.
A beautiful poem. I love the ocean. When I was young and strong. I suicide board the big storms of Winter in the Monterey coast in California. The good description took me to good places and memories. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

lovely as always. The only ocean I get is pretty much contained in your poems. This is a beautiful image here - the use of color - that transition from surf and sand to two lovers - her dress, their skin on skin - its poetry to splash through.

This is utterly beautiful. I have to say this is one of the best nature poems I have ever seen on WC. The imagery is stunning and the word choice astonishing. The rhythm is so perfectly balanced with its occasional interruption, making it lifelike and all the more beautiful. If this was placed in a poetry collection with Walt Witman on previous page and Wordsworth on the other I would still be in awe. Amazing work.
Warmest regards
