My Friend

My Friend

A Poem by Jade Mayhew

You can tell me anything.
I'll keep your secrets safe,
All your problems and your worries,
And all your dreams to date.

I've got a shoulder made for crying,
And a heart that's filled with tears.
A hand that could be laced in yours,
And strength to chase away your fears.

A light thats always shining
That will guide you through the night.
A love that never goes away,
A love that's always right.

The one that never leaves your side,
Who'll stand there next to you.
The one who gives you sound advice
When you dont know what to do.

The wind that hears you cry at night,
The voice you hear inside,
The one you spill your heart out to,
To whom you can confide.

The light that shines upon your face,
The sun on rainy days.
We'll never really be apart,
Yet we'll go our seperate ways.

The hope thats there inside your heart
That'll help you till the end.
Because you're the one who rescued me
When you became my friend.
