As You (Final Version)

As You (Final Version)

A Poem by jasonpaisley
"

A happy love poem. Yes i can write happy poems believe it or not. i wrote this back in 1991 and i redid it every year until now this is the final version.

"

As You walk in the park

With the leaves billowing around you

Nature revels in your company

There is no one as exhilarating as you

As You mingle with your friends

Their smiles reflect upon you

The world just basks in your glow

There is no one as brilliant as you

As You dance in the rainbow lights

The music seems to wrap around you

The colors reflect your own

There is no one as shining as you

As You lay in a wildflower bed

Butterflies float all around you

Not knowing what smells sweeter

There is no one as divine as you

As You stand in the shower

Drops of water roll over you

Your form it is perfection

There is no one beautiful as you

As You look into my eyes at days end

i gaze down falling deep into you

i become blissfully lost in your depths

for there is no one i love as much As You

- this stanza was very nice. it just echos a sentiment so clearly. very nice.

however, the final stanza, felt a bit awkward, and its a shame that it had to break to form of the rest of the poem, which might i add, was great in flow, visuals, and even in work usage. i would suggest getting rid of the last line, or leaving it stand alone, but thats just me.
