Human

I wrote this poem after a school event I went to left me feeling very emotionally disturbed.

Human

All these feelings

these conflicting emotions

these demons playing games with me!

How could a night that started out 

so well end so badly?

I don't get this feeling

This longing... This loneliness

It makes no sense to me

I hate feeling this way

Can't god just leave me be?

Can't I just live my life?

Why do i feel?

Why do I yearn?

Then it dawned on me

This simple little phrase

These three simple words

The answer to my suffering
