beauty and comfort in the dark

Sweet darkness...envelop me
drink the daylight,

make it so all I can see is the night

You see my eyes deceive me
if you take them away,
if I can no longer see
then maybe my mind will finally be free.

To be alone in the night, free of the masks we wear in day, known and unknown, and to be free to be the innermost you, without others gazing on us, judging by veneer only, a snap judgement of all we are, made because they didnt like your shoes or other ephemera that hides their own unhappiness. That is a place I want to visit more.

This one is quite an interesting read. Closing your eyes to reality will not give you peace my friend, accepting life, accepting that we all have some baggage that we will have to carry will give us peace.

I totally agree with you on that actually. This was a kind of meditation almost when I got it twisted....you empty the baggage, but it comes back. Great comment!

....mmm that is why we close our eyes....i dress myself in incognito darkness draped with mid- nights stars i escape... away from this wolrdly trap and set the moon upon my lap
