Secrets

I've told you mine, now you tell me yours,

 

Promise you won't tell?

 

I've shed all my tears, now you shed yours,

 

Promise you won't say anything?

 

I've shared all my fears, now you share yours,

 

Promise to keep them to yourself?

 

I'll keep them forever, never saying a word,

 

And soon they will drift away, and quickly be forgotten,

 

But they will always be in the back of my head, tearing my heart and soul,

 

And no matter how much I promise and swear they will itch and scratch, and pull themselves out,

 

because they refuse to stay hidden forever,

 

For they are demons,

 

with a lust for havoc,

 

and a taste for hate,

 

Do you dare tell me all your secrets?

And so called "Juicy" secrets are harmful when exposed to the world. Think about the consequences of your actions and how it will affect the person with that secret. If someone told you the code word to a bomb that'd atomize the earth within seconds and everyone in it and they told you to keep it a secret from everyone, especially the Jihadists, would you do that Josi? It is the same way with people. If a forbidden truth is exposed, that person's world is destroyed, and they could possibly lose their lives. My secret could actually get me killed if I let it go outside of my family, God's ears, and a few select and trustworthy church members. I'll never tell anyone else, not even the future love of my life or my future children.

Yes, it is guarded like a vault within an arsenal full of Marines. Sometimes it tears me apart from the inside and I feel that justice must be done. Death is a suitable punishment for my crimes, but praise God Almighty for His kindness, love, understanding, mercy and forgiveness. If it weren't for Him, I'd be like a raw hamburger patty on the ground from jumping off of a bridge or much worse.
