I had many lovers, all of whom resided in the barrier between realms.
That claustrophic area between dream and daydream, their numbers dwindling in the teens, their masks all aglow with petty faces and mouths that hunger for words unknown to their ears. 
There was one, I felt him coming up from the turnpike. There was a turn on the 45th and Clickity Street, that's where I found him, that's where we met. It was by the water, there; look, you'll miss it, ugh, see; it's gone now. Never mind...
I had him by the collar and it was this vintage joyride that we took on bikes; you said you wanted to look into my world, didn't you?
On the outside, I am in a cage, but here, inside my room, in my head, my mind, oh, I am everywhere, anywhere...
