Our Becket.

Our Becket.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A tribute to the lovely "Assistant Becket" - an assistant to Anne Rice and a natural force all his own!

"

A towering hope of feelings splashed in time,

Holy men show the way for his soul to bathe,

In light and prayer to live in quiet contemplation,

A man to high in smarts to let down and fade.

Clever times and luck do pass among men often,

A woman of strength and power casts a delightful eye,

On Becket our most prized obsession and man,

Gleeful are we people of the page we no longer sigh.

Quite a cozy family of reviews here Thomas ... hope you're ready for a foreign one.

Great work. I've been circling around the issue of fertility and childbirth for some time now hoping for a glimpse into its natures. I take it she favors you on this. Quite wonderful ... don't lose the grip, boy. For this reviewer, Becket ... or any Becket will always be the man for all seasons.

I like Anne Rice, I hope it's the same Anne Rice who wrote the Lestat Vampire books, I don't know of the person you give tribute to though, you have me interested. Nice work Thomas thanks for enlightening me.

I really think the beginning two lines are quite good... And that you did a lovely job of the arrangement of your ideas... Not sure what it is about, but the description is strong and to me that is very engaging... Nicely done.

Thank you J!
Enigmatic (to me anyway). But that's unimportant. The words create a certain rhythm and melody that make it an enjoyable read.
