A Poem by LadyGreystroke

the other feminine mystique

you’re a lady i’m a lady

i’m a lady i’m a lady

you’re a lady

i’m a lady i’m a lady i’m a lady

you’re a lady i’m a lady i’m a lady

i’m a lady

oh lady why are your eyes all black?

oh lady why are your feet all twisted and mangled and ripped

and your hair all burnt?

the boys come around and you've got your back turnt?

lady my brow is thick and dark

lady my feet are straight.

lady my hair is wild and thick

lady don’t tell me you want to be like me

lady you hate me? tell me the truth

i hate me oh my god i do

because i see the way you paint your lips pink

and red

and plum

and i wonder if they taste like berries like

it says on the tube

oh lady look at me

i can dress up too

i can dress up but never dress up the way you do
