I Stand Judged

I Stand Judged

A Poem by Lane
"

The aftermath of all that is going on has prompt me to view where I stand in my opinions with all that is happening in Baltimore.

"

The glares and stares don’t bother me

Im use to the way I’m judged

Fear of a silent hello can’t phase me

Don't want to inconvenience you with that pain in your neck

Authority holders claim my name

Peace is not still but worth a voice to stand

Im use to the way I’m judged

Cant break silent when its so loud

Full-mouthed words of chanted promises without agility

Make a move and sound all alarms

Can you see?

Can you hear?

Can you feel?

Your children can walk alone without judgment

Can mine stand alone and protest peacefully?

RESPECT!!! I think that what's been going on in Baltimore has been on everyone's minds. And not just Baltimore to be honest.
