Echoes....Returned Silent hunger

Echoes....Returned Silent hunger

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

I wrote this 8/16/08.

"

"I love you"s resound

Bruises yellowing aches last longer than those trivial, thrown around, little words

than apologies, tears and even more tears

Sharp frowns slam into my walls

Of spiteful attitude

God, please don't let my baby remember seeing Mommy and Daddy this way

Let go

    Forgive

             Forget

                       Move on?

There is so much better inside of him

It was I who pushed him so hard.

This is a good piece. In a sad way, it reflects the trypical abused " It was my fault" syndrome. Powerful write. Rain..

A nice lesson on freedom and responsibility

Verbal bashings can be far worse then physical as they can linger longer without healing and yes young kids can pick up on things even if they don't completely understand what is being said... a very intense piece of writing... wonderfully done.
