Divorce

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

written for the 10/40

"

Pitch your deceitful dagger into the throat of this marriage

Our vows nothing more than scarped erosion to you

Dreams of our destiny landed in the bog of lamentations

Breaking waves of fat sorrow alphabet through my unpolished

Turmoiled mind

Thank you for putting my sentiments into the words that I could not...it's kind of like a breath of air after being underwater for a while.

Anger is a white hot sword that cuts both ways. I understand how you feel. I wonder if you understand how your father felt. What demons drove him? What does anger/hatred do to you?

Nicely done, though.

Yikes.....the anger and raw intensity are prevalent in this. It must have struck you hard. I'm sorry to hear about your parents marriage. But emotions are our guiding forces, and so rarely can we express ourselves eloquently, even if it's a bit flustered. A good work.

Very powerful honest raw, cutting and draws out turmoil and passion and what it is to feel emotion in words and understanding, depthfully sculpted and crafty, i'm sure many can relate to see, great job.
