Forge

A Poem by Leran Vakem

In the dark
the blows of
your hammer hurts
each blow, dents
bends and brake me
the fire brings
the imperfections
to perfection
In time all that
remains are the
cracks that hide
in the soul
this blade is of
your making, not mine
and if it snaps
in time of need
you'll be made
to regret all your
lies and betrayals

Ooooh, this piece cuts subtly deep. I love how you used very simple words and short verses to convey your message of betrayal. I like the story aspect of the "forging" you are telling here. Even though this piece is short, it really packs a punch. Nice job!

I like the verses : ,,the fire brings
the imperfections
to perfection ,, - truly realistic.
Btw the imagery is great, and you chose a very good title.

I like the menacing tone expressed. The imagery formidable and I guess Id have a silent curiosity to test that blade. :) Well done.

I love the sentiment expressed here. It is so true that we are all forged as if hot metal on an anvil. Great stuff. I wish you posted more!
