A Poem by Little_lady
"

First draft. I wrote this recently after an experience I still think about.

"
We are on the tube. Around us, others
sit and read and chatter like
specimens of strangers.
But there is only you, and there is only
us.

And we are hurtling round the corner, into depth and
warm darkness. I am hanging on, barely.
You are anchored, facing me with
smiling eyes, pools of something secretly unspoken that
draw me in.
Our bodies bump, our arms collide.
I know this is my stop.

I try to move, like I am not fastened, but
in slow motion your lips meet mine
and it is perfect.
