Safety

You burn into my mind,
Into my eyes
Your maple eyes fix me
& paralyze me on sight
They carry me past
The darkest parts of my night
"You're right" -
You make everything all right
You calm my every fear, you're near,
I sigh-
The world bearing weight
& clock biding time
I know it, I swear it,
I'll surely be fine
As long as you're here-
Your hand holding mine.
