Darkest Night

Darkest Night

A Poem by Lloyd B. Wolf
"

Not sure if I'm finished with this yet?

"
Darkness calls my name in the
night,crowing like the Raven
black, A triumphant terrible call.
That sets my blood on fire, brings
me to my knees.I feel my mind
shifting its gears,turning
towards evil thoughts.

I no longer control this body
now,I feel the moon on my
face,Red in the sky. I run now
through a forest. Now red on my
hands,oh lord what have I done?

I heard a heartbeat for a
moment,I thought it sounded
young. But lord how could I know
these things,like the taste of
autumn blood.

I run now through this forest, the
human I once was gone. Now only
remains the Predator-the
Hunter-the Chase,oh lord what
have I become?
