Too Far Removed

Too Far Removed

A Poem by Indra's Child

Disconnected
When you're connected
Too far removed
Too far removed

Nothing is real
You've got yourself
Too far removed
Too far removed

You can't sit still
Your attention wanders
Look back at the world,
With distaste, no wonder,

You've been denied
Basic thinking
Grabbing your time,
You've got your fill and your ending

Melting shelter, drastic plastic
Don't be so killer, too damn dramatic
Too far removed
Too far removed

Concrete castle, hygienic wisdom,
Living in your asbestos kingdom
Too far removed
Too far removed

Disconnected
When you're connected,
Too far removed
Too far removed

I enjoyed this. I relate very much to the concept of being connected but disconnected. As I'm sure you do

Much love

Left me feeling forlorn---"Too far removed."
"Asbestos kingdom" and all that ftreakin' plastic were a bit jolting.
Work difficult to ignore, L!
