friendship : ideally that is...

the loyalty of true friendship is a gift

friendship  :

is the sustaining force of humanity

it should not disappear like a lover's arms

it is there for adversity and good fortune

it sees you thru sickness and rejoices in your

good health and happiness

and in turn you  sincerely love your friend

for his or her kind heart, tolerance, 

 humor and loyalty

in all forms 

times

shapes, sizes, 

and just for the  fun of it

you can play and sing and intertwine souls...

comforting--

maybe not exhallerating like the lover's  words or kisses....

but yet ,it is Steadfast and does not 

get lost ,or does not EVAPORATE

WHILE LIFE GOES ON.....

sad if a lover becomes a stranger but with a friend years can go bye and the solidness and love stays put..

I understand these differences well. When a friend is converted into a lover, it can never revert back to the same comfortable friendship -- so I say: don't do it! In your poem, it seems you try to justify how friendship is better than having a lover, despite the lack of titillating highs for friendship. Yes it makes you wonder how a friendship can pickup after years of not seeing one another, but 2 people who were connected in love are distant and less friendly.. Nice write
