I am strong but I am breaking
I have faith but it is shaking

I have pain without the gain
I am free but in a chain

I have love but it is lost
I can smile but at a cost

I can sleep but can not rest
I've caused harm but am harmless

Confident on the outside but perhaps a little fragile underneath when the layers of the exterior are peeled away, though many of us do indeed fall under this type of proverbial umbrella!
