So that We Wont Sink

So that We Wont Sink

A Poem by Mel Lisa
"

insert your interpretation:)

"

So that we won’t sink

make sturdy steps so we won’t collapse.

Build across the sands that swallow….

a bridge to cross.

So that we won’t sink

Lift the heavens from our roofs

Just lighten the rain a bit.

So that we won’t sink

Show us the color beneath

before we hit the surface hard.

So that we won’t sink

clear away the dense fog by the door

help us to see  just a little farther ahead.

So that we won’t sink

Leave no trace behind

for it to be discovered...

for us to be pulled further down.

The repetition of lines is so powerful in this thought provoking poem... I read it a few times and my interpretation is finding faith from within. Quite inspiring.
