Writer’s block

Writer’s block

A Poem by Kimberly "Melody" Carney
"

Just for fun

"

Why do the words that flow so freely

Mock me when they want to stop

If my words were my beating heart

This is where I’d drop

Half past twelve yet once again

Thought the pen was the writers friend

I would be ok if I had nothing to say

But quite the contrary

Too many thoughts

That just won’t stop

But words

I can’t find one

Stupid writers block

Very easy to relate to as we've all Lost our Muse at One Point or another. Or maybe not lost but simple played with as you stated. "too many thoughts that just won't stop." there is nö better Way to get over writer's block Other than to Write anout it in my opinion. Very well done. Kudos!

We've all been there and had to deal with it. Mine lasted years at a time. I found the "Zen" music on my profile page playing in the background really helps me seemingly every time now, when I get the least bit stuck.

I listen to Lenard Cohen and read the old Poet's to rebirth thoughts of writing. I like the description and the desire to write in the poem. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
