Extreme

Extreme

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

Yell louder

"
I like my politics like I like my religion; extreme

The best way to make your point is to scream

I'll brook no debate; my way is the only way

How you act is as important as the things you say

Shout down the other guy, don't let them talk,

Talk the talk, scream the scream, and walk the walk

You're either with us, on our version of right, or the

enemy

If our thinking's aligned, why, you're free

to rant and rave, foam at the mouth

but if you're not, that freedom's headed south

We take our set-in-stone beliefs to the extreme,

Moderate? We're the worst nightmare you've ever seen
