The Tale of the Enticing, Little Devil

The Tale of the Enticing, Little Devil

A Poem by MoE

My God,

May I ask one thing?

I know, it might sound odd

But, I ask for a voice so I can sing,

a story of  woe & great revenge.

It all starts with a man that I let play with my heart,

and during a joyous dance on that horrid day,

is when he just had to start,

the game he liked to  play.

It  was only to make himself more desirable, nothing more.

All he saw was few girls lined,

and then he picked me to dance.

Then, with my hand in his, fingers intertwined,

he gave me a suave and luring glance,

before he swept me on to the dance floor.

we danced a meaningful dance full of lust & deep love.

He swung me this way and that,

then, left  me wanting more.

 He promptly tiped his hat,

all too aware of how I was feeling.

He seemed to do this alot for he left me as quickly as he came.

He continued playing his little game.

He asked another while kneeling .

Oh, for what a shame,

such a shame indeed, that he left me like this,

But one day, you will see, I will be the one he will  want.

But I can only hope for next time we will meet,

because next time I will not miss.

Unfortunatly, for him I shall be prepared,

for him, my enticing, little devil that danced.

For one day, I will find out the rules to the game.

And then the secret shall be shared.

It shall be customised & enhanced,

to catch one for life.

He will be the only one that it will be used for

and for it to work I must be precise so it will not cause strife.

So he will be crawling back begging for more.

In the end, I will be the Angel known for taming the little enticing  devil.

i really love this! it reminded me of an old ballroom catillion-esque environment. i love poetry with traditional influences. it reminds me of the classics, but better because it's that high you get from that first discovery of these beautiful words that we never thought to say ourselves, but wish we had. from your style, i think you would really be into the poetry of Emilie Autumn. You should check it out on youtube.
