Twas the nightmare before Christmas

Twas the nightmare before Christmas

A Poem by Michelle Lea
"

Christmas 2006 when my bi-polar husband threw down the Christmas tree!

"

Twas the nightmare before Christmas
and all through the house.
There was a huge creature stirring
much bigger than a mouse.

Above the fireplace stockings were
hung with care, in hopes that
Saint Nick would soon be there.

But instead a giant creature yanked
the stockings down, with one big snare.

Over in the corner a Christmas tree
all pretty and bright...
the big creature jerked it down
with all his might!

Needless to say this was a night
Not to remember!

Do you not like Christmas or something? I don't think I've ever read anything that played off, like this, Twas the Night Before Christmas. Either that, or I don't read as much as I say I do. :)

LOL Wouldn't that be The Grinch of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"? Along with the spice of Jack Skeleton of "Nightmare Before Christmas" as well? LOL

Anyway, it was rather enjoyable reading for those who have no desire to celebrate Christmas LOL
