A Poem by Michelle Lea
"

A poem of passion and longing for someone special!!

"

He came into my life__
like a knight in shining armor
and rescued me like there was no tomorrow.

He left just as suddenly as he came__
so graceful I didn't even know his name.

But during his short stay__
he brought much excitement my way
bringing light back into the dark side of my life
and put forth joy and happiness back into my eyes.

The brief short visit was so much more__
it turned one day into many more
I want to thank you for saving my life
from the raptures of darkness
and for showing me there is more to life
than just a dark side!

Thank you!

A night in Shining armor rescuing his princess from her dark life!

Very nice! I love that you use simple words to describe her thoughts. It really got a picture in my head. I think this was a well constructed poem with excellent word usage. I just loved this line,
"He left just as suddenly as he came
so graceful I didn't even know his name." Excellent piece of work! Keep writing!

This poem feels more like something to have written on the inside of a lovely card. Don't know why I say so, except that it's got such a personal note to it, and something tells me it was actually meant for someone special to the poet who composed it. Very sweet and touching.
