Tick Tock

Tick Tock

A Poem by Kimberly Miller

Tick Tock

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, goes the clock,

Time passes with every instant,

How have you spent your tick tock,

Perhaps we should ponder that a minute?

Have you spent it being sinful,

Or uncompassionate,

Maybe selfish, unpatient or ungrateful,

Perhaps even truculent?

Or maybe you spent it loving or helping,

Showing grace to someone in need,

You extended someone something,

Almost like planting a seed.

But just imagine, all the moments of an hour,

All the hours of a day,

All the seeds that will grow to flowers,

Yet this is just one way.

So remember in each day and hour you have,

How you can be a blessing to someone too,

Because you never know your words may act like salve,

Or make you a new friend through and through.

To be blessed it pays to go through life trying to be a blessing to others. Valentine

When I first saw the title I expected to read a clichean but I was completely blown away I really like the approach which you took towards this poem to breathe new line into an overused title, such an excellent job.

Thank you!
Wow! Great job! I really enjoyed reading this poem! You did very well conveying your meaning through the words! (To be honest, when I saw the title, it reminded me of Doctor Who, which is one of my favorite shows, lol)
