Summer Heat

Summer Heat

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

summer summers sunny sun sunshine sunshines

Haiku Summer Heat

Summer heat sizzles

Sending bodies to the beach

To cook in the sun

Beach towels everywhere

Suntan lotion aroma

Captured on the breeze

Fun volley ball games

Dig your feet into the sand

When you make your serve

Bikini clad girl

And muscular surfer dudes

Cover the landscape

Leave with a sunburn

Too much fun for just one day

Should not stayed so long

I can feel the sun's rays off of this piece. Very well written. Absolutely a fun summer piece.

I loved the joy and lightness of this piece! The words, the colors, the theme all moved together so well. Excellent and uplifting!
