Rain

A poem about rain. Written aged thirteen.

RAIN

Shattering down,
Upon the screen.
Not a dry spot
To be seen.

The heavens seem
To shoot down tears.
At least that's how
It appears.

Like gods upset
With what we've done,
So he gave us rain
Instead of sun.

And made us stay
Within our homes,
Changing all colours
To pencil tones,

That strike angrily through
The bleak grey sky,
Ruining the day
For you and I.
