Being Real

Being Real

A Poem by Arianna

we're different
we know it
they know it
but nobody says it
we're real
we're not that
"teenage love story"
that i thought he was the one
not that
"almost fairytale"
we're real
we've always been
real
always will be
if we are honest
with ourseves
with others
its always been us
from that first moment
stuck in each others brain
just feeling
right
feeling home
we're not perfect
we're real
we have fights
but beneth them
is love
baby
we're different
we're not like everyone else
not that 20 second romance
booty call at three am
promises left un kept
no,
we.
we are real

Great poem

I loved the message that this poem carried. It was one of...how do I put it..being REAL. :) Anyways, the topic was solid and the flow had a wonderful uniqueness to it, kinda like a wheel with one side kinda flat... which caused it to have a very defined beat to it. Which almost matched the shape of the piece as it went down the page. I enjoyed reading it!

Awesome Ink!

Real is good. Better to know the what you need and want then to play games with emotion and desire. I like the examples and the flow/desire of the poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
