Bitter

Bitter

A Poem by Haley Smith

I have lost myself
bitter, with no emotion
tell me, who am I?

Ok, so here are my thoughts.
It was short but certainly sweet. It's one of those poems that I can fit my little life into, and see myself in it, you know?

Like, I completely see my relationship with my boyfriend in it. I'm definitely bitter. And sometimes I ask, "Who am I?" to myself, you know so it just kind of fit in with my life.

I probably read too much into it, but I seriously just saw a part of me in it, so i wanted to share that. =D

Who you are represent all that is good in creative writing. This piece is only 3 lines long but it continues to play over and longer in the reader's head. Very powerful. Good luck on your stage play but every now and then keep creating and sharing your poetry I know you have fans out there. Thanks!

A nice Haiku. It said so little but yet it speaks volumes to anyone who is in search of themselves. A person "bitter with no emotion," have the capacity to be a candidate on America's Most wanted list. It is good to see someone writing a Haiku on this site. I hope to read more of your powerful works. Bravo!

That was definitely an innovative, and it seems you approach to expression is unique.Looking towards more expressions.

This poem has no imagery, so I couldn't really feel your
emotions in this piece. Even in short, simple words,
you can create such a visual picture. The only person
who knows who you are, is yourself. AD

I could never say this much using so few words. I love Haiku but hardly ever write them for that reason. This one is wonderful
