You can tell summer is here

You can tell summer is here

A Poem by Onlyme

Her sunglasses are just about to fall
of the end of her nose.
The heavy rimmed white framed kind.
She had a massive head full of curly hair on her
head. Tied  behind her back
into two bunches.

She wore a long skirt and Jesus sandles
on her bare feet.
She had a b**b tub on.
just about covering her extremely large b***s.

She was standing on the city street corner
in full view of all the crowds.
Sing jesus loves you out of tune.
Accompanied by a skin guy on an acoustic guitar.
He wore jesus sandles and white shorts
No top, bear chest and sang along too.

A child of about five years of age
was dancing in front of them.
Clapping her tiny hands as she enjoyed herself.

Some people in the crowd were filming them on
their iPhones. And laughing at the little show
before their eyes for all to see.

I smiled and walked past.
Thinking you can tell summer is here.

Never a dull moment
when you go to town.

Picture-perfect, this is. I could see it all. Many of us long to stow away winter clothes and go out into the warmth. (Think I'll keep my shirt on--wouldn't want to scare the children)
