Birds of a feather

Birds of a feather

A Poem by oursong2

I am white

You are black

Who are they

To attack

The beauty

That is us

We are all people

With blood and bone

All this hatred

Because of tone?

The sun it shines

On every shore

It sets on the same

Why do we pass the blame?

The color

In my eyes

It mixes together

For we all are

Birds of a feather

Beautiful poem that addresses how ridiculously quick people are to stereotype and isolate others and themselves.

Never once questioned the colour of the person saving my life.

It's a nice poem. Though I have to say I've seen it come from both sides of the pond and eh.. I shall remain upon the neutral soil. You don't know a person until you know them. Thank you for writing this.

Beautiful written, and obviously comes from an equally beautiful mind. People are too quick to judge a 'book from its cover' - how much they miss by ignoring its content - and, how ignorant.

Thank you so much for sharing.
