Sunlight

Sunlight

A Poem by Pandapoet

Your sunlight came in through the windows,
leaving a few corners still in the shadows.
So I opened the door and allowed you to shine throughout the entire house.
The sun always Shined.
Even when the clouds covered you, the light
still came in, just not as bright.
Even at night,
Even when the moon was all you could see,
you still found your way to me.
You assured me that's how it'll always be.
Then one night the eclipses came.
Solar and lunar.
You left just like the sun and moon have before.
Except this time when you return I won't want it anymore.
You left in an instant and allowed the shadows to cover every corner.
You created the light,
but made it an opening for the night.
Now as long as your away, the darkness is winning this fight.
And all hope is outta sight.
