All characters are saying their actions

All characters are saying their actions outloud


Student: Pacing forward. Pacing in circles. Nervous look upon the face. Quick glance. Sees teacher coming. Gasp with disbelief! Dashes to desk! Smiles sweetly. Awaits.


Teacher: Loud dramatic entrances! Giant strides toward student.


Student: Leans back in fear.


Teacher: Evil glare.


Student: Gulps.


Teacher: Smashes packet onto desk1 Now beginning extremely long boring lecture.


Student: Distant look.


Teacher: Lecture, lecture, lecture, and lectures more. 


Student spaces out.


Teacher: Hears student speaking thoughts!


Student: Jolts awake!


Teacher: Still hears student's thoughts.


Student: Tries desperately to stop...(moment of silence)...fail.


Teacher: Turns back away from student to continue lecture. Cannot possibly detect any means of escape.


Student: Quietly gives thanks for a literal world. Slowly sneaking out of desk. Look left! Look right! Tip toe, tip toe, tip toe, trip!


Teacher:

C***s head to side. Shrugs shoulders. Continues lecture.


Student: Dramatic turn! Jumps up! Escaping! Reaches end of classroom and-


Student 2: Late entrance!


Student: Victory interrupted. 


Teacher: Grins evilly. Drags students by ear. Sends them back to their desks.


Student: Hangs head in shame. 


Student 2: Confused but following along.


Student: Slaps friend for ruining escape plan.


Student 2: Pauses for thought. 


Student: Impatiently taps desk.


Student 2: Light bulb effect!


Student: Curiously turns. 


Student 2: Suggests plan B. Whisper, whisper, whisper. 


Student: Nods, nods, nods, satisfied.


Student and Student 2: Both turn to look at teacher and turn back. Ninja stare. 


Student: Jumps up. Takes left!


Student 2: Jumps up. Takes right!


The script switches from what is happening to one character on one side of the stage with the other until they eventually meet up again.


Nerd: Paying attention to teacher. 


Student 2: Nerd alert going off!


Nerd: Feels an interruption in the force.


Student 2: Tries to go past Nerd. Begs not to be noticed. 


Nerd: Grabs pretty girl's arm and breathes heavily.


Student 2: Creeped out. Twists away from grasp.


Nerd: Snort. Nerdy laugh.


Student: Humming mission impossible music. Slow step, slow step, tip toe, tip toe. Turn left, turn right. Gasp! Sees obstacle number one.


Sick student: Sneeze! Sneeze! Sniffle. Wishes she had stayed home. Rubs eyes. Powerful sneeze!


Student: Must escape the sickness!


Student 2: Karate chop Nerd arm!


Nerd: Screams in pain!


Student 2: Ninja escape.


Teacher: Turns around suddenly. Glare. Looks around. Bat ears activate!


All Students: Silence.


Nerd: Has the urge to tell! Looks back at pretty girl. 


Student 2: Blows nerd kiss.


Nerd: Sighs with content.


Teacher: Suspiciously turns back to board. Lecture, lecture, lecture.


Student: Disgusted by sickness.


Sick Student: Sneeze!  Sneeze! Blows nose.


Student: Ponders for solution.


Student 2: Sneaks and comes upon-


Sleeping Girl: Snoring. Dreaming. Toss. Turn.


Cheating Boy: Cheating on the test.


Sleeping Girl: Head snaps up. Stands up. Arms raised. Sleepwalks.


Student 2: Tries to get past. Left


Sleeping Girl: Right.


Student 2: Right.


Sleeping Girl: Left.


Student 2: Down.


Sleeping Girl: Down.


Student: Offers tissue?


Sick Student: Nods head.


Student: Success! Walks away. Sees friend in despair! Comes to the rescue!


Sleeping Girl: Dreams of fighting. Swing arm.


Student 2: Dodge.


Sleeping Girl: Swing other arm. 


Student 2: Dodge! 


Student: Bumps into guy.


Cheating Boy: Stands up angrily! Bumps chest with victim.


Student: Gulps.


Cheating Boy: Swings fist!


Student: Dodge!


Sleeping Girl: Tries to grab imaginary enemy!


Student 2: Down, step aside, dodge.


Cheating Boy: Raises fist!


Student: Cowers in fear.


Student 2: Taps boy on shoulder.


Cheating Boy: Turns around angrily.


Student 2: Knees boy!


Cheating Boy: Screams in high pitched voice and falls to ground.


Student: Thanks friend.


Student and Student 2: High five!


Teacher: Lecture, lecture, lecture, lecture. Thinking students are paying attention.


Student and Student 2: Sneaking, tip toe, tip toe, almost reaching the door.


Teacher's Pet: Sees students sneaking away.


Student: Spots teacher's pet guarding the door.


Student 2: Annoyed roll of eyes.


Teacher's Pet: Raises hand and calls on teacher.


Student and Student 2: Worried glance at each other.


Teacher: Turns around to address student.


Student: Runs to teacher's pet and clamps hand on mouth!


All Students: Too late!


Teachers: Spots student in the back. Angry look. Slams marker down. Advances toward the back.


Student and Student 2: Dashes for the end!


Teacher's Pet: Smug look on face.


Teacher: Breaks into a dash!


Student and Student 2: Makes it to the end! Door knob at the finger tips-


Bell rings


Everyone: Fail.


Student and Student 2 hang head


Student: Hey, you wanna get a sandwich?


Student 2: Okay, sure.


                                        END SCENE

I know it's difficult to understand, but that is because this scene depends a lot on the position of the characters, the light cues, and timing. It is easier to understand with my diagram, which I lost.

haha I loved this! its such a different way to do a play! Super Unique!! I see this as a really funny, fast paced, farce (and thats a compliment). I really enjoyed it and think it would be sooo fun to perform in :) Nice job.

haha, that was pretty kool. i liked the way you made the characters speak their actions, i think it helped build the suspense. and the way you made escaping class an adventure with scary obstacles was awesome. and i love the ending!

great job! :)
