Summer Storm

Summer Storm

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

The quiet pitter pattering of rain
Glides down upon the streets
Ordinary objects no longer look plain
Steam now rising up from the road heat

The soft sound, so pleasant to hear
Grey clouds covering up all the stars
Outside now smelling so clear
Now see only a few lonely cars

The misty cool night slowly closing in
With relaxation and comfort found
As the thunder booms once again
While lightening is striking down

Beautiful is the show of lights
Booming thunder is music in the distance
Bright bolts, dart taking flight
While tree branches sway and dance

the rhyming of words is well chosen and wisely used, the imagery the flow and the structure everything blends well... "Summer Storm" is cool!

I think it is strange how mother nature's powerful storms can make you feel peaceful inside. i like the imagery and the wording.

This is a great poem! I feel as if I'm there experiencing the rain and thunder. You paint a glorious picture of a rain storm!
